With Crystal May
Yin Yoga, by definition, is incomplete and encourages balance. Balance between competition and contentment, effort and surrender and movement and stillness. Let Soul introduce you to the balance Yin Yoga has to offer.
In this training, you will gain a deeper understanding of the principals of Yin, the philosophy, the alignment, the energetic connections, the anatomical benefits as well as the difference between tension and compression, and how to offer this incredible practice to yourself or your students.
We will work through the most common Yin poses, learn how to apply props to the practice and form the connection between mind, body and breath. As well, each student will have the opportunity to get a taste of what it’s like to teach Yin.
Pranayama, Meditation, Asana and Anatomy will be foundational offerings in this training.
This practice is a perfect opportunity for yoga teachers who are looking to deepen their knowledge towards Yin Yoga, as well as practitioners who are looking to deepen their own personal practice.
Crystal May, ERYT500, has been teaching Yoga for almost 10 years, has 1000 hours of training, and has developed her Yin education with Bernie Clark, Diana Batts, Alan Mileham and Stephanie Staniforth. Crystal is a self-taught student of anatomy, has a strong background in a variety of yoga disciples but has been very drawn to Yin Yoga.
